Microwaves in shared kitchens should award a tiny trophy to whoever wipes up their own splatter. A weekly podium would turn basic manners into a sport, and the trophy could be a spoon glued to a block of cheese. It would be cheaper than another passive-aggressive note, and far more difficult to ignore.
